Chris`s Story

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. While studying for my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I signed up to be a Supplemental Instructor, which put me in a position to help college students learn how to learn. Many students approached me and told me that their grades had improved dramatically.

During my time in Charlotte, I also volunteered to be a mentor and a lunch buddy. I smile when I think about the positive influence I had on those younger students, and, yes, the positive influence they had on me.

I am a two-time AAU National Sparring Champion, a real estate agent with Hunt ERA, and hold a Master’s degree in Education from Syracuse University. Most of all, I am passionate about writing for children. After a long search, I found two amazing illustrators to bring my stories to life. Jason Smith, who illustrated Shoo Fly, Please Bother Me, and who is illustrating my upcoming book, Little Leaf (2013) is incredibly versatile and skilled. I am fortunate to have him on board.
